I think it is. A lot of people actually prefer Quadrophenia, music wise. I may be wrong but I always thought that > Jeeves was an Andrew idea. Tim was seduced by the idea of writing a musical based on the life of Eva Peron. He simply lost interest in "Jeeves" because of it. And he struggled to write anything, especially when they agreed that it would be a traditional book musical. Alan Ayckbourn was then brought on board to write the script, with Tim concentrating solely on the lyrics, but eventually Alan became lyricist also. It was the first time he had ever written lyrics for a stage show and directed a stage show also because the original director Eric Thompson (Emma's father) was fired. | |
