If Jim is looking for an 'upbeat' start then I can't think of anything better than having the BOOH intro extended, to act as the overture (the whole audience will recognise the opening chords and riff) and then having a bike exploding from underneath the stage (to emulate the Bat 1 cover), and performing stunts. To add to my previous 'redux' post, as the bike enters from underneath the stage, I can now see 20-30 dancers entering from stage left & right, and from the hole in centre stage, all dressed as realistic bats and creating a choreographed 'swarm' to complement the bike stunts. If you're looking for spectacle, what else could be better? Once Peter rises from the bike the 'bats' would then disperse into the smoke and disappear. BOOH can still be reprised later, if you want it to end Act 1 or 2. | |
