I don't think the Mail would be given permission to release a real greatest hits album. I think there will be a major label doing that. However, an album involving big names that Jim has worked with would tie in perfectly with the Mail's attitude. They always do telly ads and I can just hear the voiceover chap reading out all the famous names (and that would be wonderful publicity for Jim and the musical). BTW, I like your list but don't you think Manilow and Air Supply should be included? Not for you but for the grannies.
