It would probably end up looking like a blur of indecipherable images. But perhaps it could still be used as a placemat (Bear in mind that it *might* be alright to spill food over TMIL :) It must be because the > collage on coffee coasters would make the albums too small > to see. Oh, you see what I mean then. I bought a cool box of Pink Floyd coffee coasters > (five in all). My favourite is the "Dark Side Of The Moon" > one. Oh, really? The covers in the Pink Floyd poster I have on my wall do not have any titles, except P*U*L*S*E. Strangely enough, they *added* a title to that one. Like Zoltar has done with Jim's album covers, they > removed any writing and just used the art work. The prism > looks really cool. Although a large framed poster of the > collage would be brilliant. I hope you don't mind but I'm > posting an image of the collage for people to check out. It's fine. I posted a bigger one, how it looked in the document where I designed it. > If you and Zoltar had to choose five album covers for a > boxed set of coasters, which ones would they be? I am > guessing Bat 1, Bat 2, Dead Ringer, Bad For Good and maybe > Pandora's Box (not sure obout the fifth choice). That's what I would choose! If it had to be 5. If it had to be 7, I would chase Bat 1, Bad for Good, Dead Ringer, Faster than the Speed of Night, Streets of Fire, Original Sin and Bat 2. BTW, well > done on the Batman site reaching the 40,000 mark. Thank you. Has > there been any increase in traffic since the new show was > announced. Probably people will hear the news and start > doing Batman Musical searches. I keep a record of how much it rises every week. It has risen 100 hits since the beginning of the week, but this is normal. There hasn't been a dramatic rise. And I have yet to update the site with links & articles on the new Batman production. I agree about Zoltar's > "brilliant contributions". You were meant to get together > and I hope that you have many successful collaborations in > the future. Is there any possibility that the two of you > could have a go at doing the BOOH The Musical poster using > the Bat 2 cover art? Zoltar could, I'm sure, but I can see things and envision the way things should look, in my mind, but I am no graphic designer. I wish I was. I can't tell you how frustrating that is. But I am including my "rough envisionings" of some posters at the end of this reply. The one that Bill Kenwright's nephew > Adam did for the Evening Standard ad doesn't really work > (although I like the idea of using the Bat 1 album cover - > but Bat 2 would be even better). You need to get Dewynters designing the logo. They're the best in the world and Andrew Lloyd Webber should have used them on LND and Wizard of Oz. Instead, we got these really unattractive amateurish logos. I mean, the logo for the American tour production of Wizard of Oz is so much more professional and enticing. Andrew's one looks like a mess. But I would suggest that they base it on Richard Corben's fabulous illustration, and Corben could probably even get involved, and produce an amazing new take for the 21st century. But the tone of the Bat logo, for me, is red. Tanz was black. Bat is red, bright red, signifying the passion and the fever of Jim's music. Yes. It Must be red. Anyway, piccies... | |
