Jim said (in a 1993 radio interview) that he was gonna produce an album for her, with some of his songs and some from other writers.
For whatever reason, Jim passed the production duties onto Bernard Edwards (of Chic fame), but halfway through recording the record label pulled the plug (I think because Bat 2 went way over budget).
If Jim had produced her album, written a decent lead single, and gotten it released within 6-12 months of Bat 2, then she may have had a shit. If only...
