Making Music Documentaries

Making documentaries about musicians can be a really cool thing to do.Do you get Sky Arts One? They show a lot of interesting work. I think the Maysles brothers were the greatest music documentary makers of all time. They filmed The Beatles' first US visit and their best work (in my opinion) was "Gimme Shelter" about the 1969 Rolling Stones US tour. Now that we live in an age where it is very difficult to fund films, I think that documentaries might give film makers the chance they need. I have to go now but I will listen to your friend's music a bit later and tell you what I think.
