I have video of Jim performing Wasted Youth in 1978 on my officially purchased DVD and that is more than enough for me. I do not feel the need to lower myself to your morally bankrupt level and partake in viewing this against Meat's wishes. That said however I shall offer my opinion on this video but be in no doubt that I have not, nor will not ever insult my moral fibre to click the link. Unless Meat asks me to.
As far as I am concerned Meat on stage is a world shattering delight from start to finish. I go for the man and it matters not one jot to me who may have written the songs. However I feel that Jim's Wasted Youth does not compare to the fantastic tour-de-force that is Hang Cool Teddy Bear. I still tremble with excitement from Meat's first word, to his final breath. It is the most amazing experience since the last amazing experience Meat provided. Yet again it was a tidal wave of sheer delight. As I've said over and over again, Meat is taking us on a rollercoaster of wonderment and awe, and I for one am prepared to sit back and ride on the ripples of brilliance that Meat has so unselfishly provided for one and all. They are my feelings and I insist that they be the facts of the situation, therefore all other debate over this topic is unnecessary and shall be drowned out with endless positivity that bears no relation to the matter at hand.
