| But, I mean, Meat Loaf is from Texas. The only story I've ever heard on this song is that it's based on his story. Regardless of what other influences went into the song (and obviously, there are many), it sill has part of its origins in the south. So, I mean, that review kind of bothers me. Not to mention, and I think this is a big problem for a lot of us, the "whole Jersey trash appeal" part of the song seems to imply that the song (and the others of Bat I and II) are to be enjoyed for their campiness, and not for their true quality. Maybe I'm inferring too much, though. | |
