hey... I think the thing is perfect the way it is, too, but if you prefer your own spin... go for it...
I do think your version makes less sense... for reasons already pointed out...
besides... if traveling through time and universe isn't going all the way for a girl, I don't know what is... and in that case... him going all the way (in an effort to find her) leads to the start of the thing they end up having together... which means going all the way is just the start... for them...
is that making sense to anyone else???
