A friend of Richard Hasse told me that someone is going forward with Richard's English translation of "Tanz" but he didn't want to tell me any details until the deal is finalised (which should be soon now - this was weeks ago). I hope he has managed to sell it to Finland because it is a very faithful translation co-authored by fellow board member Ashton. It might be easier to do it in English than having to translate everything into Finish. Which I imagine is very different from German. I know that Richard's script is much more like the German "Tanz" than the Broadway "Dance Of The Vampires". Someone (it may have been Croftie - but I'm not sure) was asking who Richard Haase is the other day (because he had seen Richard's posts on Jim's Facebook wall). Apart from "Tanz", Richard can be connected to Jim through Barry. Jim wrote "Rhinegold" with Barry. Richard wrote "Millennium Man" with Barry. Barry asked Richard to write "Millennium Man" with him after Barry's Tony nomination for "Starmites", so Richard must have something going for him, other than the fact that I enjoyed reading the script for "Vampires" that he and Ashton wrote. | |
