| I still play Pig, Break It, TMIL the song wasn't horrible to me. I don't hate COM either. Its always up for interpretion, but I always took it as Meat singing to a non-participating audience. If you get what I mean. If he could belt it, it would be interesting live. And I'm sure he could belt it, but it would be really hard. Especially by the last third of the song. That's what actually what hits me every time. With the string arrangement and the message in the lyrics. Not to mention those notes whether they were digitally assisted or not, I don't care.. it moves me. I think its a safe bet to say the majority of the 2006 promo was dubbed. 'Alive' would have been a solid single to really convey the edginess he was talking about back in '06 when he would describe the record. Or maybe something like 'Pig' because of its political statements. A lot of what goes around in this day and age is politically correct or cloned; for better or worse. So What I'm saying is, There were some fuck ups on the promotion for a record with the wrong name but it did have a handful of solid tunes. Would have been a real good ML record if there was no BOOH in its title. And if half of the Steinman songs weren't on there ;) Oh and if half of the other songs weren't on there too. :P | |
