| I am only including songs that were released commercially, because it just doesn't seem fair to include demos & such. I am also skipping spoken-word and instrumental pieces. My least favorite Steinman songs - the ones that even I, as a connoisseur of very ripe cheese, can safely declare just plain bad: Rebel Without A Clue Loving You's A Dirty Job Cry to Heaven Braver Than We Are Cry to Heaven Safe Sex Dance In My Pants (aw, jeez!) A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste (Everly Bros Version) I agree with mickp and Wilbury that the production on "Holding Out for a Hero" is atrocious. I really hate the production on the "Secret Dreams" album - you might say that my rule of thumb for evaluating Jim's productions would be a scale with "Secret Dreams" lowest, at 1 and "Pandora's Box" as a 10. (Thus for production alone, "Bat II" gets an 7, "Streets of Fire" gets a 6, Sisters of Mercy get a 10, "Tanz der Vampire" gets a 8, etc...) | |
