Well I actually am a fan of the painting. I think it's really clever with the bike in the clouds. I just don't think it functions as a CD cover very well at all. Actually, I think it benefits from having the cloud bike way more obvious, and 'literal'.

It's weird that there is more than one iteration of the painting being used for Marketing purposes, you would expect the client to only have the finished product. Maybe the alterations process took so long that he had to supply working versions of the painting to them part way thru.
