Isn't the difference between those two regional, the top being UK and the bottom being US, and it was the US one that Meat said he didn't like in his autobiography — that it was around the time that Miami Vice was big and they wnated Meat looking vaguely miani vice-ish to help sell records?
Going completely from memory on that…
