| Well I don't really have a fully-fleshed out plan :-) BUT I am a big fan of the 1980s record executive mentality that the lead singles and strong tracks should be right at the beginning of the album. Right up front at tracks 1, 2, 3, 4. Case in point BAD ATTITUDE. Or JOSHUA TREE by U2 is another obvious example. I believe the powers that be changed the tracklisting of Paul Simon's GRACELAND to put the singles up front. It kickstarts the album, gives it something to hang it's hat on. I would have definitely started with mercenaries, blind before I stop and masculine. Or maybe put the title track first, then mercenaries then masculine. Some combination of those three.
