I hesitate to make a direct comparison between Gaga and Steinman, but he is definitely from the same Spectorish wall-of-sound school of rock as Springsteen and Queen, which this album is an explicit tribute to.
"You and I" features Brian May on guitar and samples the "We Will Rock You" drum beat. "Edge of Glory" and "Hair" feature Clarence Clemons on sax, and the latter has the iconic "Be My Baby" drum beat.
An unplugged Gaga set would be cool. Her acoustic piano version of "Edge of Glory" on BBC was really poignant.
I'm really excited to go out and buy this album later today. I just hope the songs I haven't heard yet are as good as the ones I have.
