I read in "The Phenomenology of Excess", or something from around that period, that it was going to be on Meat Loaf's album. Then Jim took it at the last minute and released it as a bonus EP with his album. On the "Storytellers" DVD, Meat Loaf mentions that they exchanged "Rock and roll dreams" with "Dead ringer for love". Which I think was a good choice, because I think "Dead ringer" needed the upbeat track towards the end. There were too many emotional songs. Can you still hear Meat humming when you listen to the > track? I swear I can hear it, right at the start. | |
