Though if "Batman Forever" was the only "Batman" film, I think it would be treated better after all of these years. It can't really compete with the wonderful films by Burton and Nolan, but by itself it's not that bad. HOWEVER, "Batman Forever" started out as a Tim Burton movie. He ended up being the Executive Producer. Michael Keaton was going to reprise the part of Barton and Robin Williams might have played the Riddler (OH MY GOD!) I do not believe they would have used Two Face (though Billy Dee Williams played Harvey Dent in the first "Batman") and there have even been rumours that Catwoman would have returned, and Burton would have "concluded" the trilogy. Sort of reminds you of Bat 3 and TMIL... As a fan of the first two films, I wish there had been a third one directed by Tim. | |
