I will always think of Ted as Jesus and Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene. I can't imagine anyone else singing "I Don't Know How To Love Him". I have heard that the new AEG show will be a "super concert" like Michael Jackson's "This Is It". Have you seen that film? It was to be a concert but each number had a very special treatment. Apparently ALW saw the "This Is It" film and said: "That's what I want to do with "Jesus Christ Superstar"!" Then he approached AEG (who did "This Is It") and the "This Is It" creative team. I have heard rumours of a plan to remake the film. Wasn't it you who told me about that? Maybe it was Gibson. I can't remember. Probably that would be very different than the new arena tour. I would guess that remaking the film along the lines that Tim Rice wants is a good idea. > It should be a biblical epic with rock music. And I'm not > interested in any remake unless they do this. Yes. That makes sense. Instead of a rock epic with a biblical story. If they do remake the film, I hope they do it your way. | |
