I would advise him to just take it easy. Giving 150% might have made sense when he was a young unknown trying to make his first album succeed, but now he's an aging star. He could chant the songs Neil Diamond style, people would still go to see him just because he's Meat Loaf. He'd probably reject such advice, though.
