I've wondered about Meat's record deals also. After Bat III didn't exactly set the music world afire, I was a bit surprised that he was able to score Rob Cavallo and some big name guest stars for HCTB, since that suggested a large budget for the record, and I wondered what label would invest that kind of money in a new Meat record at this point. Unless everybody involved just worked cheap because they were Meat fans from back in the day....

Anyway, a 3 record deal w/ Sony? Again, surprising. Was HCTB a profitable record, do you suppose? Was Bat III, for that matter? Anybody have sales figures? Here in the U.S., at least, I'd say Bat III was a blip on the perimeter of the radar, and HCTB sailed under it. How many units must a record sell these days to be profitable? I don't actually have any idea...
