Aussie football fans weren't impressed with the rock legend's performance at the annual football finals.
Meat Loaf fans such as myself have come to expect a certain level of the rock star’s vocal ability as he heads towards his mid-sixties.
Never being a very good singer live, it is always the performance and the spectacle that makes up for it, and fans accept and love him for that.
It seems though that Australian football fans aren’t as accommodating as they slated the star for his appearance at the Australian Football League Grand Final in Melbourne.
In what they have dubbed the worst AFL Grand Final performance ever, Meat sang a medley of hits, which he is currently performing in full in his Australian tour, and although he does not sound like a finely polished pop star we are used to seeing these days, he still performed.
The AFL’s youtube channel did not seem quite so forgiving, posting the comment, “We’re doing Meat a favour by pointing out how fucking awful he was.”
