My sentiments exactly! Ive seen Meat three times in my life. Once in 1999 for the Story Tellers tour, once in 2005 for "Last world tour" or whatever it was called before Couldnt have said it better came out, and then this year in February in Lancaster, PA.
To be honest, though he sounded his "worse" during the most recent show, it was actually my favorite. I had just gotten engaged, Meat was coming off the Apprentice show, and even though his voice had aged and was hurting a bit, the band was great and his playing to the crowd made it so special and unique. The show I went to is actually on MeatLoafBootLeg website so I can relieve some of it since the loudness of the concert destroyed my phone recording, hahaha.
If there is one thing I wish Meat would do with his set, it would be to add a new Steinman song he hasnt played before just for shits and giggles. Maybe Come in the Night (complete this time) or Still the Children. A nice piano ballad.
I hope he goes through with his youtube story about doing Bat 1 complete as an act two for his next tour. I will definitely see that.
