I found myself in a student bar this evening. The student union place opposite my workplace.
The DJ played Bonnie Tyler's version of TEOTH. The proper version! The original version! And people started miscellaneously singing along! People far too young to remember 1983! People who weren't even born then!
And rather than feeling invigorated...
I felt embarrassed.
For these people have been trained in inferior ways... rather than *passion infused with emptiness*...
....it's *emptiness infused with passion*....
it's upside-down!!
HOLLOW, but feeling some need to reach for....
Ah, kids these days... [/old person]
