| This is so hard. As a fan, I want Jim to have written all of everything he's touched or tasted. I mean, I credit him with pretty much all of "Holding Out for a Hero." There's nothing there that doesn't sound like Jim, ya know? I believe Jim had a hand in, if not his whole cock out, the music of the Whistle version of AKIATTTW. And I think Annie Christmas is all his. Ater that? Who knows? I love Nature of the Beast, therefore I want Jim to have written the music as well as the words. But obviously ALW has his talents and I suppose he must have written most of the music if that's what the credits say. > This was a hot topic back on the Jim list in the late 90s, > and I was always a staunch supporter that the music is > mostly ALW's. > > It's impossible to think that Jim had no influence on the > music, but I think it's more a matter of him influencing > orchestration and production than the melody > > EdD > > > Lyrics apart... which songs do you think have the > > stein-touch in the music? > > I don't think Webber composed all of the music of the > > show, and you? > > Piano intro from "A kiss is a terrible thing to waste" is > > a clear example of what I'm talking about. > > I would like to know your opinion about the songs! > > > > P.S. Scaramouche, any news about new songs from you? | |
