I saw this production at the movies. I had mixed feelings. Some of the production was gorgeous, some quite lame. Especially the ending of Götterdämmerung was a disappointment.

My favorite part was Die Walküre. However, this has more to do with music than Lepage's production. Jonas Kaufmann and Eva-Maria Westbroek were amazing as Siegmund and Sieglinde. And so were Hans-Peter König and Stephanie Blythe as Hunding and Fricka. These four were the best singers of this Ring. König also sang the roles of Fafner and Hagen.

Bryn Terfel was an ok Wotan, not more than that. I think he will grow into the role. The same could be said about Jay Hunter Morris as Siegfried. I wasn't crazy about Deborah Voigt's voice and acting in Brünnhilde's role.

One real problem was the change of the conductor in the middle of the cycle. I think James Levine is one of the greatest Wagner conductors of his generation though a lot of people think he's much too slow. He's had lots of health problems recently so he wasn't able to conduct Siegfried and Götterdämmerung. They were conducted by Fabio Luisi who is ok but not a really great Wagner conductor.
