I also don't consider IDAFL a "power ballad." It simply rocks too much. It probably IS the most Steinman-y song Jim has ever written & produced, featuring everything fans love him for AND (Hell's) kitchen sink.

Has Jim written other songs that, if produced as he envisions them, would top it? My guess is: most likely.

For pure power balladry, I would say "Objects..." is better than TEOTH. And then again "Safe Sex" is pretty kick ass, too. And then again...

(What, no FCOL, you may ask? I'm tempted to include it, but since the "power" (musical, not emotional, of course) doesn't kick in until so late in the song, I'm not sure it quite qualifies for the competition.)
