The trouble is, who else could do Body? Meat Loaf is the only person I can think of who would give it the right amount of emotion. He would use his acting skills to really drive it home. In the thread below, I suggested that Tom Jones could record it but that might just make people laugh. To me, the Bat 1 songs are Meat when he was young. The Bat 2 songs are a more middle aged Meat. The album known as Bat 3 doesn't count. Body sounds like Jim wrote it for an older Meat. I think Jim wrote Paradise for Meat. I think Jim wrote Objects for Meat. And I think Jim wrote Body for Meat. Who else could have made the first two Bat albums work? Meat is a very unique talent. I hear that his voice is not in great shape. Apparently he is shouting more than singing during his current concerts. But maybe if Jim had the patience of a saint, he could get one last fantastic performance out of the old guy. It could be so wonderful.
