NJC - Mother's Day in England

Today is Mother's Day in England. I have a question for anyone who may know...in the States on Mother's day we would also give a gift/card to our Grandmothers and gifts/cards for married couples would be signed by both the child and the "in-law" child. Is it differnt there?

Does only the mother get a card? Nothing for Grandma? And is that card only from the birth child?

For example, Dave - If Julie gave her mother a card...would only she sign it - or would if be from both of you?

Thanks xxx JD
