Okay. I will try it. But no intermission.

The main problem I had with the West End version was the length of Act One. It wasn't a big problem but I did feel that Act One went on for ten minutes too long. But the other people I went with didn't get the same feeling. Goodness knows what the extra long original Barbican version was like. As far as that goes.

What did you feel the stage version got wrong? Cameron Mackintosh said they fell down between two stools. The posh critics said the show was too simple and not faithful to Victor Hugo's novel. The tabloid critics said it was too complicated and not much fun. Fortunately word of mouth saved the show.

ALW once said that an animated film version was in the works and I believe that Steve Margoshes was actually working on it. But I have no idea what happened to it.

I really enjoyed the documentaries about Les Miz, Miss Saigon and Phantom. I would have preferred a documentary about Cats. Instead of the "sterile" record of the show featured in the video.
