Well, when it was produced again in Paris, it was the Cameron Mackintosh version re-translated. They actually recorded that too so it would be interesting to hear the differences. I suppose they couldn't have just used the original lyrics in amongst the new ones because they would have had different meanings in places and they wanted a more faithful translation, which is something that Michael Kunze has to bear in mind when he translates famous English shows into German. > > Although would two years of DOTV in the West End have > damaged Tanz in Germany?
