It is a long way away, and, yes, the deal might fall through, and at the moment the deal is only for one song from Tanz (Braver Than We Are). Meat rejected songs like Body when they were presented to him for Bat 3 (a shame, in my opinion) and these days Jim only writes lyrics. I thought that was common knowledge. That's why Nutz is the perfect project for him. He can write lyrics and claim the full publishing rights. So I really doubt that he will be able to give Meat new songs. But maybe Meat will change his mind about Body. I hope so. BTW, what did you think of the actual interview? Everybody is talking about the three songs but what about the interview? At first I thought Jonathan Ross was being very rude when he asked Meat if Jim is lazy and stupid and why didn't he give Jim a shake and then something like (when Meat told him the Jim songs were being released in September 2014): "What the fuck? What is wrong with you people? You move slower than icebergs." But I guess that Jonathan Ross is known for taking the piss and Meat should have known that. I have heard that Meat is not entirely happy with the way the interview went. It would have been nice if had been interviewed by someone who gave him the time to explain things. | |
