| In latest issue of Q magazine (June13), Meat answers a bunch of reader questions. Asked about a Meat Loaf musical: 'It's been on and off for 15 years, and a Canadian promoter (Michael Cohl) has bought the rights. But Jim controls the writing. I have a script at home and it's great. But Jim's story is very extravagant, so in this day and age it might be cost prohibitive. But there's always a way to figure out how to get a specific effect cheaper than having to build a new theatre'. Michael Cohl has an impressive track record having produced numerous tours for Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and U2 amongst others. He also financially 'rescued' the SpiderMan musical a few years ago. Billboard article from last month hints at BOOH heading for Broadway. | |
