Klasien, don't you live in Norway? If you and others who live in Europe could take the time to vote for Bonnie in the Eurovision Song Contest, that would be really cool.

As you probably know, UK residents are not allowed to vote for their own singer.

She is actually generating publicity for Jim because of course the media are refering to her two biggest hits.

I wonder if she will win. I hope so. I would love it if there was actually a Jim song in music's most cheesy contest but they have to be under three minutes. How many Jim songs are under three minutes?

I certainly don't hate Desmond Child but he will never be Jim. Its possible that Jim wouldn't have allowed any of his songs to be used in the competition anyway.

From The Mail (they calll her both "the TEOTH singer" and "the HOFAH" singer"):

British Eurovision hopeful Bonnie Tyler is booming towards this weekend's singing competition - already raising the roof during rehearsals in Sweden, where the annual event is taking place.

The singer is hoping to bring the competition home to the UK with her power-balled, Believe In Me.

And she certainly looked like she could be in with a winning chance as she took to the stage of the Malmö Opera Hall in Malmö ahead of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday May 18.

The 61-year-old Welsh superstar was belting out her new song on stage in the Swedish city, her powerful voice filling the auditorium.

The Total Eclipse of the Heart singer looked distinguished and graceful dressed all in black with simple accessories, directing full attention to her still-incredible voice.

Should she succeed in winning the competition on Saturday, it would be the first time the UK has landed the top position since Katrina and The Waves won in 1997 with Love Shine A Light.

'It's a tricky one the Eurovision Song Contest because it's not all about the music, is it?' she said in a recent interview with MailOnline, clearly aware of the politics around a lot of the voting.

The music legend also explained that she may not have the sex appeal of some of the other entrants.

'Some of the videos...,' she said with a gasp. 'I've just been shown a few and I can't compete with the some of them stripping off.’

However the Holding Out For A Hero singer remains hopeful her track will win the competition for the UK.

'If we go by the music I've got a very good chance I think.'

Perhaps one of the scantily clad contestants she referenced would be Alyona Lanskaya, representing Belarus, who appeared in Malmö on Tuesday.

There are pictures and descriptions of Bonnie's competition at the link (including America's tallest man helping the Ukranian lady get up on a high rock). The pictures are of him and the entry from Montenegro.
