| I think Meat made the announcement in order to strengthen his pitch for more substantial media coverage in advance of his UK Tour. Another Meat Loaf tour is hardly news worth dedicating substantial resources to cover. Media outlets might tell him that his performance won't be news until after he collapses on stage. Beforehand, if he wants to get before their ticket-buying audience, he'll need to advertise. But, if he pitches a news story like the dramatic reunion of the personalities behind Bat Out of Hell, that might be worth an interview or a real story. It's one of the best-selling albums ever and the whole sad off-and-on relationship between the two has a certain soap opera quality to it. People will ask themselves, "why now?" And, no one will object too much if Meat Loaf also mentions the concert tour. Don't get me wrong, I think that Meat and Jim are planning to work together, again. I hope they deliver new songs I've never heard before with Jim's production.
