But that was an almost completely different show than the Cameron Mackintosh version. It closed after a relatively short run because The Moscow Circus was booked into the theatre. Maybe it's as you say. They like their own. Tanz hasn't been there and mega hits from people like Andrew Loyd Weber and Cameron Mackintosh are not popular, even when the shows are based on French works.
