| Home now after ten nights and 12 Tanz shows in berlin. My thoughts now that my jetlag is starting to go 9 shows front row.8 of those in seat 4 right next to the conductor On this trip i got to see 3 Von krolocks. Ivan,Udo and florian. I found Udo to have a bit of a light voice for the role compared to the other two and when i was told he also plays herbert then it made sense. Florian had more emotion at times whereas Ivan played his role with a bit of smugness. Apart from the final show one of the biggest laughs came when they did the reveal of sarah in the bath in the castle,she was playing with a rubber duck. At that same show both her and alfred did a leap when half way across the stage like there was a hurdle there during the escape from the castle. One fan got scared and screamed when she didnt notice alfred and the professor coming through the crowd One show there seemed to a blooper when alfred was by himself in the inn waiting for the professor to appear and do the creaking floorboard scene,but instead the professor made his cue down stairs.Turns out they wanted to try it like that for some reason. It was interesting to see the things they did and didnt do depending on who was on that night. Some nights alfred would pull the professor off stage with his umbrella before Ewigkeit At 3 shows the candle holders got knocked over during the ballroom dance.One time by herbert who was trying so hard not to crack up with his back to the crowd The final show the cast played up to the crowd at times which was a lot of fun and if you've seen the youtube footage we all rocked out to the last number. It was nice to see michael kunze in attendance for the show and curtain call The backstage tour was interesting to do and to see the way the show operates. Met some cool people after the final show and a big thank you to Bat17 for taking the time to hang out and chat about all things Steinman So cheers berlin, it was fun and as i asked before where next for Tanz? I wonder if vienna for the 20th anniversary in 2017 could be a goer if not somewhere else before then. | |
