Yeah, I really wish that Jim & Rory would have made an album together after 'Bad For Good'. I mean, 'A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste', 'Making Love' and now 'Vaults Of Heaven'. All brilliant. I have a suspicion that there's probably an album worth of these Rory demos in the "vaults"... > > Think the piano intro melody works best in 'Rainbow' > > (Druid's Head) though, because it's so strong a melody on > > its own. That's what I remembered too ("Steinman's Ninth") but now that I read Ray's text on the cd booklet again it actually says: "Barry briefly sang it in his act, but objecting, quite reasonably, to the leviathan production it had become, never recorded it..." So, it seems it was never finished...Still, even a some kind of rough version of the nine minute version would be great to hear (if it exists). | |
