Was this before the 1991 Oliver Stone film of The Doors? I thought Val Kilmer made an excellent Jim Morrison. Much better than John Travolta would have been. But was Jim going to write new music and turn the Jim Morrison story into a kind of a musical?

I am still most interested in what the Jim/De Palma film from the point of view of a guitar would have been like.
