It was an interesting year for sure. At points I almost wanted to write it off. "2013 was one of the worst years of my life". But the way it worked out in the end just makes me think that it was even better than last year. I had writer's block early this year which would have been OK if it hadn't cost me a great opportunity in the process and I was really upset about that, also because I didn't want to disappoint other people as well. I've since worked with them and it's been great. I also at one point thought I'd lost my job which was terrible. There were other things that happened as well. Just disappointments and upset. Then suddenly it all turned around. I got over my writer's block and have been writing pretty regularly since. I've been OK. We've been working on our new musical as well which I'm really excited about. In these past few months I've been in charge of sound effects for a gig part of an important charity event, sang at a theatre group's 25th anniversary night which was the first time I'd sung onstage in over a year, and one of my plays was performed a few weeks after which was part of an evening of short plays.
I wish people would drive more safely though given that it's Christmas! Come on! Last night I was walking home from getting dinner and there was a smashed car in the middle of an intersection and ambulances driving away. Be safe. Drive carefully. And happy holidays, Merry Christmas and New Year.
