Think this is ALW's biggest 'flop' to date, although I liked 'You've Never Had It So Good' and 'I'm Hopeless When It Comes To You'. The Profumo scandal continues to be an intriguing story but perhaps not suited as a stage musical. Maybe it should have been a BBC2 TV drama with songs? > Still all this stuff and after the somewhat lacklustre > Whistle makes me think that Steinman could have done an > amazing Batman. I think it could be great as long as they get the story and staging right, and that's easier said than done. I think Warner Bros will take the plunge eventually, with or without Jim, but lets hope they don't hire U2, the Spiderman songs were crap! > Although a Bat musical I would definitely would want to > see I simply can't see it making as much of an impact as > an official Batman musical. From the little I know, I've always thought the Bat musical (or Neverland) would work better as a film or animation? It just seems too epic to work on stage? | |
