| From [Title of Show] there is a song lyric that they'd rather be: “...nine people's favorite thing than a hundred people's ninth favorite thing.” I kind of think of Jim that way. Millions love his music, but many sadly don't even know that Jim is the reason why. There is a core group of us here that clearly Jim knows that he is by far our very favorite "thing". Not to say he isn't recognized, as his HOF induction proves, but do you think he's happier being the absolute FAVORITE of this core group than maybe much more popular but with a less rabid core? Based on his writing about obsession and excess, I'd like to think he likes it this way. What say you? | |
