I think it's very likely he'd be in film. Jim's words, his narrative and characters within his songs alone leave a lot for any screenwriter to be envious of. I think he could have been an auter cut from the same cloth as someone like Lynch. Of course, JD has a point of him being a singer/songwriter. His voice is incredible, his passion almost unrivalled.

Jim is such a unique creative voice, the question really should be what couldn't he have done!
