I think it's important to remember these are only demos and Rory would, presumably, have changed a few things if he'd gotten to record the finished version, but they are a fascinating glimpse into the recording process.
Personally, I think Todd was outstanding on this song and, whilst Rory is hugely accomplished, he doesn't have Todd's feel for the song. Though, as I say, that might have changed if he'd sung the finished product.
Interesting that it sounds pretty much like Bonnie's finished vocal even at this early stage.
