Whistle Down the Wind - Community theatre

So I was at a community theatre production of Whistle down the Wind last night in Auckland, my only source material for this show is the London cast recording and I have a few questions for those that may know more than I.

This version was abridged and seemingly sanitised.

Home by now was left out, both at the beginning and refrain at the end.

Annie Christmas removed all mention of Moustaches and Necklaces

Charlie Christmas was not even a song.

Long overdue for a miracle reduced to a few lines of spoken dialogue (as were a few other parts)

Off Ramp Exit to paradise - Cut

The Nature of the beast was cut short (No "Its still in me")

Throughout the show there were various shortening of songs and changing of words.

So what I want to know is: This version I saw, is it due to the local groups cuts and edits, or is there an abridged book for this play that was sprung on me (Much like all these "School" and "Junior" Versions that are popping up)
