I tend to agree. Meat's live vocals are all over the place but he can still get it done in the studio. As awful as "Hang Cool" was, the vocals were pretty darn good. If the Meat Loaf project works out - not sure how commercial Meat Loaf is in 2014- but if it is very high quality which I think Jim will make sure of- I hope they do a project with "Body" and "Paradise Lost" and a few others. I know others are going to sing "Body" and probably do well, but I can totally hear Meat Loaf doing the definitive version and it being epic and the right note to go out on. For all people say about Meat (including me) he "gets" Jim's songs almost intuitavely and he does find just the right emotion to sing them. I think that is just a natural gift he has for Jim's material. | |
