As bad as some of today's pop stars sound on record, I have to wonder how bad the original vocal was. The tour, if it happens, will be the return of "Meat can't sing any more" reviews vs. "Meat was sick", "Meat was tired", "you try doing it" and "I thought he was superb as always" arguments. Just give me a great album. I know what Meat sounds like live as of recent times and except for a few who will never see any flaws, we all know what to expect when we go to the venue. I caught a fairly good show on the HIAH tour and was quite pleased having gone in knowing I was paying for whatever was the best he could do on that night. You mostly pay for performance rather than amazing vocals. Anything above atrocious is a bonus if you know what you expect going in. | |
