| BRAVER THAN WE ARE MORE WHO NEEDS THE YOUNG SPEAKING IN TONGUES ... DEAR MAMA (TODAY WE LEARN TO DIE) Because Braver is apparently second on the album, and I can't see it being a slot 2 song if slot 1 is a full length piece. That, plus it preceded Braver at one of the Dream Engine concerts, plus I'd be surprised if the last Meat/Jim collaboration didn't have a spoken word track on there somewhere. Opening with it could be pretty cool. YOU'VE GOT TO LOVE ME WITH THE SUN IN YOUR EYES Jim's first two songs are on the album. This is from roughly the same timeframe as Who Needs the Young (song 1), isn't it? It could be #2. There's that, and Jim apparently reworked it a few years ago. Maybe it was done in advance to prepare for a project with Meat like this. NOT ALLOWED TO LOVE Because apparently there's some unwritten law that says every Meat Loaf album has to have a duet. I'd be surprised if one didn't show up; if it's not this, I'd guess Loving You's a Dirty Job. BOLERO Because I'm a pessimist. I can also see them going "let's record a few pre-Bat songs to tie off the loose ends," which is why we'd get this, Who Needs the Young and You've Got to Love Me. My runner up guesses would be Faster Than the Speed of Night or Still the Children, probably in place of either Bolero or Dear Mama. | |
