Meat is one of the > great icons of rock. He deserves respect. I always knew it was Paul Crook producing and that Jim would not be in the studio at all. I don't know if Meat did not want Rinkoff or thought that would add a lot of time and cost and the album is already a year late due to Meat's health. Maybe during the down times for Meat, Rink could have worked on the basic tracks with Jim from what Paul had done but that was just going to lead to disagreements with Meat feeling he had to take Paul's side and Jim in the same boat with Rinkoff. I still think in 2015 this is the best way left for Jim and Meat to collaborate given their age and individual health issues. If they did go back in studio together they'd probably be age 90 by the time it came out. | |
