More or less my feeling as well, and always slightly depressing to me that most people who'll sit down to listen to that song won't actually know the other version. It's like if "Everything louder" was just Meat and the band playing the "Wasted Youth" part for a couple minutes, while the rest of the song was a demo only we knew about. Man...
